About

This blog started in 2013, almost 6 years ago when I needed a way to find a healthy outlet, and running was at the center of it. I decided I needed a place to share my journey, although I’m not sure I knew exactly what that journey was going to be when I first started. I’m not sure I’d recognize who I am today if I met myself back then, as I’ve learned more about who I am, and what I want from my life in the last 2 years than in the prior 36 or so combined.

So, here I am, hurdling towards 40 and sharing my journey. Because in reality, that’s what life is, right?  A journey we all share. This is just my version.

I’m not an expert at fitness, or running, or cooking, and certainly not a life, nor do I claim to be. I am, however, finding my way, messy as it may be, and will share it all, in case you stumble upon a kernel of wisdom, or more likely, just want to know you’re not alone.

  1. Hey !

My name is Marina, I m from Airia Running (www.airiarunning.com), the Swedish company behind the fastest running shoe – Airia One. It’s not just a marketing claim – rigorous testing shows that 8 out of 10 runners run faster in Airia One running shoes (shaving anywhere from 1% to 7% off their run time).

But this email is not about that.

I want to suggest you to run an independent test of Airia One. I’ll bribe you with a free pair. I also respectfully request that you do a write up about your run for your readers.

Please try a long distance race to really feel the difference of running in Airia One. I’m emphasizing the racing part because it’s really important that you actually race in them. We spent decades engineering and designing Airia One to specifically be the best running shoe – and you are a runner and an early adopter. You are the real life chance to test our years of work. I am counting on you to push both yourself and Airia One to the limit.

Please send your address and shoe size to get your free pair of Airia One.

I really hope you take me up on this offer/challenge and have your best run ever.

    Kind regards,

    Marina

  2. Run Stretch Go,

My name is Sam Voss, founder/blogger for RunnersTongue.com, and writer/content marketer for RunSafe.me. After posting on my own site and on the RunSafe blog (blog.runsafe.me) for several months now, I have started looking to expand my reach within the running community, and I have been trying to find guest blogging opportunities. I post about running tips, some gear reviews, and share stories from my own runs (see some of my writing on runnerstongue.com), and I really like your work on this site. I think there is common ground between what you’re doing and what I’m doing and, as a result, I was wondering if you would be interested in a form of co-promoting, where we could each write a post for each other’s blog and try and advertise for one another. If you would like to do this just let me know, I’d love to hear back from you!

  3. I really enjoyed your blog and I wanted to email you but couldn’t quite find a link. I started a company in 2006 called Gracie’s Gear (www.graciesgearandtraining.com) where we sold sports bra’s and tanks to women with a patented zipper pouch. In 2008 I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and a few months following, my daughter developed an infection in her eye.
Long story short, I was thrilled to come across your blog. I wanted to in-turn, share something I’m doing right now.

I’m on Kickstarter trying to kickstart my company. My fight with cancer leaded me to shut my company down. But with the help of friends, fans, and family I’m trying to make a comeback.

I hope you enjoy our video and maybe feel compelled to share.

    Thanks! Take Care,

    -Gracie
